What is hypnotherapy?

If you’ve experienced benefit from mindfulness or meditation but you’re unsure about hypnotherapy, you’re halfway there!

Mindfulness, or short breath awareness practice can:

  • Guide you to notice posture, sense your feet on the floor and gain gentle awareness of your breath.

  • Introduce the concept of observing thoughts without judgement.

Meditation might be breathing in calm, and breathing out tension. This practice can:

  • Involve visualisation, for example a safe, calm place like a beach, forest or garden.

  • Encourage you to allow thoughts to come and go, returning to the breath or the imagery.

Hypnotherapy and progressive muscle relaxation techniques can:

  • Provide a natural, focused state of awareness that is quite similar to daydreaming.

  • Be used for incredible relaxation, stress reduction, and create positive change.
